CAPOT
CAPOT is a spreadsheet-based scoping model that rapidly estimates the amount and location of solid wastes from fish farms settling to the seafloor sediments.
Developed by University of Stirling.

Suggested users: Aquaculture producers, spatial planners
Format: Spreadsheet model
Cost: Free to use
Data requirements: Hydrographic data, production data
Time requirements: If data are available, it requires 1-2 hours for data entry and arranging the cages positions within the model. Once set up for a location, models of new production scenarios can be run in minutes.
Required resources: MS Excel and contour plotting software i.e. Surfer (Golden Software Inc.) or QGIS
Prior knowledge: Some understanding of fish production and the environment. There is guidance document to help use the tool.
